The (for-now) non-profit Mozilla Foundation released its financial statements for 2007 (embedded below). Revenues for the organization behind the open-source Firefox browser were up 12 percent to $75 million, with search-related royalties from Google accounting for 88 percent of the total, or $66 million. (Another $2 million or so came from other search engines).

A recently published patent from Google describes a device-based bidding system for consumers to pick and chose which services and providers they communicate over.
Google Transit is integrating with NY MTA's website and various kiosks are being placed throughout the transit system. Users do not need to search specifically for transit information. Instead, they are shown transit routes, stations and stops even if they search for something like a bagel store.
T-Mobile, Google, and HTC lifted the curtain on the first Android-enabled mobile phone today. The $179 device will have Google app integration, a built-in music store, and the Android Market to buy apps from developers. The device is to go on sale Oct. 22.
